Craig David has finally confessed the motivation for pursing a career in music - Terence Trent D'Arby.

Speaking to a Cypriote radio station, the recent Ivor Novello winner said that seeing D'Arby perform live in Southampton made him realise that he wanted to try his luck in music industry.

The R&B star has also revealed details of the hotly anticipated follow up to multi-million selling debut 'Born To Do It'. David revealed that the new album would feature a variety of styles ranging from upbeat dance tracks through to mid tempo numbers.

"I've progressed as a vocalist and a songwriter," he said. "The second album songwise will be very strong. I think it's going to be real hot. There's so many different things I want to talk lyrically about on this album."
