Sananda Maitreya Finishes
"Angels and Vampires" Project

by Daniel Zugna

May 3 2006

Sananda Maitreya – the artist formerly known as Terence Trent D’Arby – has completed the second, twenty track volume for his download-only ‘Angels and Vampires’ project.

Maitreya, now based in Milan, legally changed his name in 2001. Sananda means 'one who walks with light', and Maitreya means 'among the sons of God’

‘Angels and Vampires’, Volumes I & II, represents 40 new songs from Maitreya. All songs were written, arranged, produced and performed by Maitreya, except for his version of the Rolling Stones’ ‘Angie’.

The tracks – in the self-proclaimed style of ‘post-millennium rock’ – are available for download from Maitreya’s website. The price per album €15, €25 for both albums and €0.99 per song. A free song, ‘O Jacaranda’, is available for all users.
